It’s that time again: Sew magazine’s annual Dressmaker of the Year competition is back for 2020! Whether you’ve just started out on your sewing journey and want to show-off your new favourite outfit, or you’re an experienced dressmaker who would like to submit the garments you’re most proud of, this competition is designed with all of our readers in mind. Plus, with six categories to choose from, two free patterns to claim and amazing prizes to win, you’d be bonkers to not take part! But if you need a little more convincing, read on…

EASY TO ENTER COMPETITION

One of the best parts of the competition is that it’s so easy to enter! Simply take a clear photo of your garment against a plain background and enter it via our website. You can include up to five shots of your make, and there’s an option to tell us the story behind it. You can enter all six categories with multiple garments, as long as all of them are different, and you can submit any outfit – so whether you made it two weeks or twenty years ago, we want to see it!
