Meet the new Sewing Bees 2016!

It’s time to start counting down to Monday 16th May, when series four of The Great British Sewing Bee airs for the first time! In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at this year’s contestants…

Rumana is a junior doctor from East London, who unwinds after work by stitching baby clothes for her newborn niece, plus fashionable outfits for herself.
Angeline is a marketing manager from County Down, Northern Ireland, with a taste for making elegant ‘50s inspired occasion dresses.
Duncan is a physics and maths tutor formerly from Scotland, who now lives in London. In his spare time, he sews catwalk inspired modern menswear.
Charlotte is a scientific editor and mum of three from North London, who enjoys stitching everything from underwear to jeans, both for herself and her children.
Josh is an Entrepreneurship Engagement Manager from Cardiff, who also sews casual menswear such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, bomber jackets and swimwear.
Jade from Sussex is the Sewing Bee’s youngest ever contestant at 18, plus a swimming instructor and student. She makes clothing for her entire family – including her dogs!
Tracey is a retired primary school teacher and mum of two grown up children, from Derbyshire. She creates clothes for herself and her daughter with bright, bold fabrics.
Joyce is a retired Schools Admissions Officer from West Sussex, who likes to update her wardrobe by sewing skirts, dresses and tops.
Jamie is a stay-at-home dad from Devon, who is also a dab hand at stitching tailored men’s jackets and shirts for himself, plus clothing for his wife.
Ghislaine is an office manager originally from French Martinique, now residing in South London. She creates bright colourful clothing inspired by her Caribbean heritage.
