Offset Warehouse – Sustainable Shopping
Inspired by her own struggle to find ethical textiles, fashion designer Charlie Bradley Ross launched sustainable fabric shop, Offset Warehouse, in 2010. The website started small, operating out of her front room with just a few photos of fabrics from a hand-weaving cooperative. Today the business stocks over 150 socially and environmentally-responsible textiles and haberdashery items, dispatching wholesale and retail orders to customers worldwide from a warehouse facility.
Bawn Textiles – From Crop to Shop
With a background in textile conservation and a lifelong love of sewing, owning a fabric shop had always been a dream for Bevan O’Daly, who owns eco-friendly fabric store Bawn Textiles in Glasgow. Bevan is very particular about the stock she sells in her store, ensuring that all cottons are certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), which monitors the fabric from crop to shop – ensuring every step of its journey from farming, weaving, dyeing, and finishing meets a certain standard.
