Create a key fob

    1. Cut an arch and rectangle from iron-on interfacing using the templates. Iron onto coordinating scraps and cut out following the sides of the interfacing. Pin the bottom edge of the arch to one of the long sides of the rectangle, right sides together. Machine stitch and press open the seam.

    2. Use the template to cutout a felt flower and position it on the arch sections, referring to the image. Secure with a dab of super glue and sew around the edges using small over stitches. Position the centre of the flower and fix into place, again using tiny over stitches.

    3. Cut a 6cm piece of ribbonand, using the template as a guide, secure into place with a dab of super glue. Set your sewing machine to a narrow zig-zag stitch and work down each edge of the ribbon. Lay the key fob shape flat on the backing fabric and cut around.

    4. Double over a 5cm lengthof ribbon to make a loop and super glue the ends together. Use fabric glue to secure it in place in the centre at the top of the arch, facing downwards.

    5. Pin the key fob and backing fabric, right sides together, and machine around the edges leaving a 3.5cm gap along the bottom seam. Snip the curves and corners, turn through and press. Close the gap with slip stitch and hook the metal key ring through the ribbon loop.

Stitch a purse

    1. Using the templates, cut out a rectangle and two arch shapes of fusible interfacing and iron them onto coordinating scraps. Cut the shapes out of the fabric, following the edge of the interfacing. Pin the bottom edge of one of the arch sections to one of the long sides of the rectangle, right sides together. Machine stitch and repeat with the other arch section. Press open the seams.

    2. Use the templates to cutout two felt flowers, and position them on the arch sections, using the templates as a guide. Secure in place with a dab of super glue and sew around the edges using small over stitches. Position the centres of the flowers and fix into place, again using tiny over stitches.

    3. Cut two 9cm lengths of ribbon and secure into place with a dab of super glue, using the templates as a guide. Set your sewing machine to a narrow zig-zag stitch and machine down each edge of the ribbon.

    4. Lay your purse shape flat and use as a template to cut around the lining fabric. Pin with right sides together and machine around the edge leaving a 6cm gap along one of the side seams for turning through. Snip the curves, turn through and press. Sew up the gap using slip stitch.

    5. Glue the purse to theinside ridge of the frame using super glue, one side at a time. Leave to dry. Sew the sides of the purse together using slip stitch.
