With only two simple steps, this make would also be a fantastic first project for the little crafter in your life – they could even jazz up the design with sequins and glitter.
Essentials
- Felt, assorted colours
- Ribbon
- Hair grip or brooch
Download and print the templates from sewmag.co.uk. Using the templates provided, cut various flower shapes from a selection of felt. In one large flower shape, snip a small cross in the centre, feed through a small loop of ribbon, then use a needle and thread to add a few stitches to hold it in place.
Open out the ribbon and place another flower shape on top, hiding the ribbon in-between. Stitch into place. Repeat the desired number of flower shapes. Knot together. Cut a small centre from yellow felt and using a blanket or slip stitch, handsew this in place without stitching all the way to the back. Add a hair grip, brooch back or tie to napkins.
