Top sewing tip
If you don’t have an overlocker, stitch the seams as normal, then trim down by a few millimetres. Set the machine to a zig zag stitch setting and attach an overlock foot. Test the width and tension of the stitch on a scrap of the fabric and adjust to suit. With the raw edge touching the little metal flap on the overlock foot, stitch along one of the seams. The right-hand point of each zig zag should just reach the edge of the fabric. Tie the loose threads at either end in a double knot and trim. Press the seams either open or to one side.
