Download and print the templates from sewmag.co.uk. Trace the templates labelled ‘Place to the fold’, matching the indicated lines to the fold of the tracing paper, then open out flat. Snip out the following from skin-toned fabric: one pair of heads and bodies and two pairs of arms and legs. From white: one pair of knickers. Snip the notches. Lightly mark the dots on the wrong side of the pieces with a pencil.
Apply fabric glue sparingly on the wrong side of the felt piece. Set aside to dry. Trim one pair of eyes from black felt and one pair of crosses from red felt. Fold the heads in half. Sew the darts to the dot. Press the darts in opposite directions. Pin and stitch the heads together between the dots, matching the darts and leaving a gap on the lower edge. Snip the curves. Turn under the raw edges of the gap and tack in place. Turn right side out. Stuff the head.
Sew the bodies to the knickers along the notched edges. Press the seams open. Pin the arms together in pairs. Stitch A-B, leaving the straight edge open. Snip
