Cut out seven strips from a mixture of fabrics, 3cm x 17cm each. Prepare the binding by trimming four strips, 2.5cm x 18cm. With right sides facing, pin and stitch the seven strips together in turn, taking a 4mm seam allowance. Press all of the seam allowances downwards.
