Why spend a fortune on an extravagant Christmas wreath when you can make your own personalised one using scrapsof fabric? We’ve created ours using plain white cotton, festive prints and pretty glass beads, simply sewn and pinned onto a florist’s moss ring. It’s a fabric lover’s dream!

Essentials

  • Fabric, cotton: white, 1m; festive prints, scraps
  • Florist’s moss or polystyrene ring
  • Beads: glass, coordinating, 36; seed, pearl, 36

    Make a wreath

    1. Tear several long strips of white cotton, making sure each piece is 3cm wide. Prepare a florist’s moss or polystyrene ring by winding the lengths around it, overlapping the strips a little with each pass. Add new ones as necessary, securing them with a few small stitc
