About this pattern

In this simple jumper rework, we show you how to customise a plain sweater with a beautiful printed chiffon by simply making a template with pattern paper and neatly hand sewing the fabric in place with ladder stitches. It couldn't be easier and is the perfect beginner project to complete in front of the TV or in the garden if it's sunny.

    Rework a jumper

    1. Turn one sleeve of a jumper inside out, then thread it through to the other unturned sleeve. Match and pin the two side seams together and fold along the centre front of the jumper. Position and pin this to the straight edge of a piece of plain pattern paper, then draw around the neckline.

    2. Use a pin to stab along the armhole seam into the paper, to mark the shape of the armhole. The side seam will run from the underarm
