Easy Single Fat Quarter Tote - part 1

How can you make two squares from one square? Corinne shows you how easy it is to create a good sized Tote Bag from a single Fat Quarter of fabric, and even includes the straps, making it more sustainable than having to buy extra materials. Cutting on the bias, and restitching the triangles together on the straight edge creates a stretchy tube of printed cotton fabric. all you need to do to complete the tote bag is to top stitch the seams, sew along the base, hem the top edge, and add straps; either in the same fabric, or contrasting webbing. The tote bag will be large enough to accommodate documents, tablets and books, or a few bits of last minute grocery shopping. Fold them up and tuck them in a pocket so you're never short of a custom, reusable, eco-friendy tote bag.
