    Make a mirror pouch

    1. Download and print the templates from sewmag.co.uk. Cut a 5cm x 10cm piece of blush fabric and a 6.5cm x 10cm piece of lilac spot fabric. Pin, right sides together, to create the front of the pouch. Sew a 5mm seam and press on the reverse.

    2. Cut a flower from lilac fabric and two hearts from pink, then back with interfacing. Pin in place and machine sew around the edges twice using contrasting thread. Cut a 4cm circle from silver glitter felt and secure on top of the flower. Copy the text template onto white tissue. Pin in place, then stitch over the words twice. Tear the tissue away and press.

    3. Use the finished front as a template to cut out two pieces of wadding, two linings and a back from plain lilac. Layer a piece of wadding, a plain lilac back piece and the finished front right sides together, then pin. Sew a 5mm seam down both sides and across the bottom. Cut excess fabric from the bottom corners and trim the excess wadding up to the stitch line.

    4. Pin the two lilac lining pieces right sides together. Sew a 7mm seam down both sides and across the bottom. Cut the excess fabric from the bottom two corners and turn right side out. Place the lining inside the pouch, right sides together and aligning the seams.
